October 17
The Plickey + Muto series picked up three awards at the Baddeck International New Media Festival this past weekend. The awards were for "Best Web Entertainment" and "Best Atlantic Canadian Entry". The third was a cash award, the Telefilm Canada New Media Award.

I was fortunate enough to meet and speak with Selena Landon, winner of the CyberPitch award, and David Clark, the first winner of the MTT New Media Art Prize. I am excited about the work both of them are doing and wish them all the best.
August 27
I have not added any news all summer, but a few things have been going on:
Over at www.120seconds.com they are running a feature called "Pixel Pushers". The first one focus on me and includes audio clips of an interview and my new Flash short called "Thing In My Hat".
I have been working (rather slowly) on an animation of a Croatian folk tale as part of an international project. More on that later.
Oh, yeah, and there is new stuff in the Ed's Head Shop and I hope to add some new designs soon.
April 14
I had a grand time at the festival in Lille, France. My animation SeXXXy Doll did not take any prizes, but I met some terrific people and had lots of fun . Highlights were meeting Steve Whitehouse, Dave Jones, David O'Malley, Maira Krastins, and Gorman Bechard ( I won't mention a certain incident at an Italian Restaurant ).

The Ed's Head Flash animated short, SeXXXy Doll has been selected to represent Canada at this year's FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DU FILM DE L'INTERNET or FIFI for short.
I plan to attend the festival in Lille, France, March 26-30, 2001.

I was contacted today by the publishers of CG Computer Gazette e Computer Graphics & Publishing in Italy. They want to include my animated promo on a CD of "the very best from the Flash Film Festival" Their web site is at www.iht.it
